Applications for couples wishing to enter the 2008 Flitch Trials can be made until the end of March 2008.

The Flitch Trials will take place on Saturday 12 July 2008 in Great Dunmow.

The Trials exist to award a flitch (side) of bacon to married couples from anywhere in the world if they can satisfy the Judge & Jury of 6 maidens and 6 bachelors that in "twelvemonth and a day" they have "not wisht themselves unmarried again".
